Petr Cech underwent surgery yesterday following a training ground accident which left him with lacerations to his lip and chin.

Chelsea will be without Petr Cech for a fortnight after the keeper had surgery to his lips and chin following a training ground accident.
Czech goalkeeper Cech, 25, suffered cuts after colliding with a team-mate.
Cech has missed the last nine games with an ankle injury and will now miss Tuesday's Champions League quarter final second leg against Fenerbahce.
"He has been unlucky with injuries this year," said Chelsea boss Avram Grant. "But this is football - it happens."

Could this be the incident which turns the growing tide of luck against Avram?

Cech now faces a race to be fit in time for the crucial Premier League clash against Manchester United on 26 April.
But Grant hopes he will have him back for the final matches of the season.
"It was a tackle between two players, it doesn't matter who, all that matters is he is injured," he said.
"This year is not a good year for him. It is his third injury.
"He was looking good in training. I think he will be out for two weeks, something like this.
"I don't feel so good about it but every player that is injured doesn't make me happy."
Cech has worn protective headgear during training and in matches since suffering an horrific depressed skull fracture in a challenge with Reading midfielder Stephen Hunt in October 2006.
He last featured for Chelsea this season in their 4-0 win over West Ham on 1 March.

f***ing ridiculous he cannot get a break...I mean 3rd injury in one season for a keeper is pretty massive.
He's been out for so long this season and now another injury and a really stupid one at that...colliding with a team mate in training honestly.
Hopefully he will be back soon.

Jesus, what kind of training do Chelsea do?!?
Apparently he required around 50 stitches!!
And apparently it was also Ben Haim who did it but that's speculation...
When you keep having head injuries it really must affect your game/ambitions though...

Cech out for two weeks after fifty stitch op
Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is understood to have required an astonishing 50 stitches in the facial injury that has wrecked his comeback bid.
Cech was on the brink of a return for tomorrow night's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Fenerbahce but the training-ground accident required immediate facial surgery yesterday and has now put him out of action for a further two weeks at least.
Cech, who had only just recovered from an ankle injury, is believed to have been hurt in an accidental collision with Israeli defender Tal Ben-Haim.
The Czech Republic international had a lengthy lay-off with a fractured skull last season and still wears a protective helmet.
Manager Avram Grant had earlier confirmed the facial injury, which has rocked his preparations for the return clash with the Turks, although he stopped short of naming the other player involved.
Grant confirmed: 'I don't feel so good about it. But any player who is injured does not make me happy.
'He has been a little bit unlucky this year. He was great in training and felt very good. He got injured in training and will be out for two weeks or something like that.
'It was a tackle between two players, it does not matter who the other player was. What matters is that he is injured. This year has not been a good year for him, it is his third injury.'

So ben-haim doesn't play instead he injures his own team mater in training... Retard...
I don't understand why training needs to be full contact do they not understand that they will get injured a lot easier if they go all out in training. Don't get me wrong players should try to impress in training however they don't need to do rash things like this, I mean this injury is just ridiculous.

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is confident he will be able to feature in the closing stages of the season after undergoing facial surgery.
The 25-year-old suffered his second serious facial injury in the space of two years in a training-ground clash with team-mate Tal Ben-Haim on Sunday.
"The club said I should be back in two weeks, so we shall see. I believe it will be so," Cech said.
"This season has been awful with injuries but I hope I will be back in the goal soon."
Cech now faces a race to be fit in time for the crucial Premier League clash against Manchester United on 26 April.
Cech confirmed the incident had been nothing more than an unfortunate accident and insisted he did not blame Israeli defender Ben-Haim after the Czech keeper needed 50 stitches.
He said: "We were both trying to stop the goal and he wanted to kick the ball away and I dived for it at the same time.
"We hit each other and he tore my face - it was a coincidence.
"When we dived for the ball it was important the goal was not conceded.
"There are 50 such situations during every training session - it was simply bad luck," he added.
"It is worse for me that after a long problem with my ankle I had restarted training and could finally play."
The Czech Republic international is anxious to return for Avram Grant's side as soon as possible, and there had been concerns that he may also miss Euro 2008.
And Cech confirmed his national coach Karel Bruckner is desperate to have his number one fit for the tournament.
"He called me 10 times - I spoke to him and also Honza Stejskal, the goalkeepers' coach, and also some of my team-mates.
"I have to play football, so we are trying to find a way to protect the wound and to be back as soon as possible.
"My face is sewn, so we must find a way to protect it from tearing again," he explained.
"I believe that a way will be found for me to return as soon as possible - it should not be such a big problem."

Rumour was he might be out for the season and might not be ready for Euro 2008.
The way he is going he might need to wear a skiing mask to protect that face of his.
Hopefully he will be back soon because with Cudicini apparently out for 2-3weeks we are once again low on keepers.

Chelsea manager Avram Grant was pessimistic about Carlo Cudicini making a quick recovery from a hamstring injury, saying it "does not look good".
The goalkeeper limped off against Fenerbahce and joins first-choice keeper Petr Cech on the sidelines.
It leaves the Blues facing the prospect of fielding Hilario in goal, with Rhys Taylor, 18, on the bench for their next game against Wigan on Monday.
Grant said: "It doesn't look good with Carlo but we need to wait and see."
Chelsea are already without Cech for a lengthy period after the Czech Republic international needed 50 stitches on a serious facial injury sustained in a training-ground clash with team-mate Tal Ben-Haim on Sunday.
Third-choice stopper Hilario came off the bench to replace Cudicini during the Champions League tie at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
The Portuguese pulled off fine saves from Gokhan Gonul and Colin Kazim-Richards, and Grant stressed he has full confidence in Hilario as he faces up to a goalkeeping crisis.
"It is very important for a third goalkeeper to do a good job when you need him, and we have needed him this year," said the Chelsea boss after the 3-2 aggregate win which saw his side progress to the Champions League semi-finals.
Grant added: "This year I am more a doctor than a manager, I need to answer every week about injuries.
"We have Hilario and have the goalkeeper from the youth team. He is a good goalkeeper."

Well so that basically Cudicini is most likely to be out for the season i assume.
The 18 year old won't be called up, apparently we are looking at loaning Issaksson, Canizares or Sorenson from Man City, Valencia and Aston Villa respectively.
