Unhappy Terry & Lampard
Quote:
Chelsea skipper John Terry is reported to be ready to hand in a transfer request after Saturday's FA Cup final if he is not offered a new deal which makes him the highest paid player at Stamford Bridge.
Reports suggest the England captain and inspirational centre-half is reputed to be furious he is not being paid the same wages as Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack.
Terry feels he has given his all for the Chelsea cause while last summer's two expensive signings have been criticised for failing to hit top gear during their first season with the Blues.
Frank Lampard is also reported to share similar views as his friend and international team-mate although both players have insisted their ideal is to stay with the deposed Premiership champions for the long haul.
A source revealed: "I was told his agent is saying Terry could put in a written transfer request days after the FA Cup Final."
Terry has also spoken about being a future manager at Chelsea but is angered at what he perceives to be a lack of respect from the King's Road hierarchy.

This could be the start of Chelsea's fall.Abramovich ain't that keen to spend a lot of money on Chelsea as he used to be.He will not pay what they command and if he don't they will leave.

the chelsea board would be insane to let that happen, personally i hope they do but i cant see it somehow, all the same though it begs the question why has it took so long to get their contracts sorted in the first place?surely the captain of your team(and the captain of the national side) and your most prolific midfielder deserves parity with shitchenko and bollock any idiot could see that!

Well because the players often drag it out to bargain and hope for better conditions...
Ronaldo's contract renewal took a while, so did Gerrard's a while back and that wasn't because the clubs didn't want to keep them...

It's very rarely the players, but their agents , purely because they will get a bigger cut.
Call it marketing their commodities, or just fucking parasites, its the fans that pay for it.

Frank Lampard is set to leave Chelsea this summer.
The News of the World says Lampard is reluctantly poised to quit Chelsea after contract talks between him and the club sensationally collapsed.
He is now likely to complete a move to either Barcelona, Real Madrid or Juventus - unless Chelsea make a dramatic and unexpected last-ditch attempt to keep him.
But one Stamford Bridge insider warned: "That is highly unlikely. This looks like the end of the road for Frank and Chelsea."
The news comes after an emergency board meeting failed to agree a new offer for the England midfielder.

This happen when a club have to much money and at some time need to set a limit wage.

Please don't sign him, Juve!
2 years ago, yes. But not now.
This is just the players putting out this shit so Chelsea give in.

He's too good to leave, no one could replace him, hopefully sign up soon, if leves I don't know who could replace him , team he goes would go too, would be laughing at Chelsea for letting him go, Nm I don't see him leaving.

I'd be interested to see him leave, cos I'd like to see if he's half as successful with another club as he is with Chelsea.
The only time he's really played at his general Chelsea level for England was in Euro 2004 imo, and he's failed to do it as much since then, I know he was top scorer in qualifying for "06 but I think that was more to do with the rest of the team being just as bad.
That said I don't think he'll leave, and I think he'll be the bigger fool to leave, rather than Chelsea if they let him go.

You won't lose those two, especially not Terry. It's basic contract negotiation tactics - agents everywhere do it - decent or crooked. Yeah the big contracts are giving you a problem - everyone'll want them now, but as long as you don't let it go too far, ending it with Terry and Lampard, possibly Droga (basically the spine of your side), and telling Sheva and Ballack to look for the mega-bucjs elsewhere, be it this summer, or next year, then the situation is perfectly manageable.

And rightly so. Lampard would be a fool to leave, as Kyan pointed out, so none of you should be fretting over that anyway
