Onto next year! (Appreciating thread)
Next year, hopefully Alex will come in, a new striker, Drogba can't do everything , he can't play every week.
Injuries caught up to us this year, having bigger squad will help like we did two years and three years ago. This was our smallest squad 22 players 18 outfield players.
Just wanna see Essien in midfield. Maybe back to 4-3-3. Get Sahar and Sinclair into more games.
Some players need to go, Boula and Geremi.
Looking forward to it, though this season not actually over, I expect us to beat Utd still what ever team they play. Fa cup final to win.

Essien, hole season, he had that brillant commitment for us this year, his work rate, his just a joy to watch, I voted for him in Chelsea player of year, knowing Drogba will win it.
Mikel, coming in under all the presure replacing Makelele an undropable player, he's done fantastic, big things expected from him, I can't wait.
Carvalho Unbeleivble miles better then Terry(who has had a poor season) brillant we would of lost the season ages ago if it wasn't for this guy.
Drogba- how many games has he won for us? Brillant. 31 goals.
JM - He done so many risk this season, and 99% it has paid off, brillant manager, I can't imagine Chelsea without him.

If you can win the FA Cup that will top off a great year.

A squad of 19 outfield players is theoretically well capable of doing the job, but it simply makes sense, in light of events this season, to ensure that injuries cannot be allowed to derail things quite so badly by increasing the squad size to at least 21 outfield players.
One new midfielder to cover for Essien and Mikel, one new target man to cover for Drogba.
Outside of that we could do with a new centreback, rightback and possibly more competition in the wide position.
If somebody was to come in with relatively large offers for Shevchenko and Shaun Wright Phillips I would be inclined to accept them if we have good replacements ready or in mind.

I think SWP is beginning to really settle at Chelsea with his consistent playing time, he got quite a few goals towards the tail-end of the season and he got the assist today, he's developing...
BTW welcome back hanuma, u should stick around.

I can't stick around, I just don't have the time. I'm posting regularly on one Chelsea board atm and tbh I don't have the time for that either.
I will probably be back on a bit more in the summer. Thanks for the invite though.
On SWP:
Whilst I'm happy he has finally decided to show up for 5 minutes a game his value is steadily decreasing. If Chelsea have any desire to make money back on him now would be the only time to do it. SWP has all the tools to be a top class attacking midfielder (through the middle or out wide) but even two years of being coached by the best and playing with some of the best has not taught him much, if anything at all.
The point is, I do not see how he will ever get any better than being sporadically fantastic. He can't be relied on in any situation ever and the excuse that he hasn't played enough is well and truly dead.

I think Mikel, Essien, Drogba and Carvalho have been amazing this season. SWP and Cech have also been gd but late on in the season.
I think that we need a CB (most likely in the form of Alex), a RB and a striker. Especially as we will lose both Kalou and Drogba to the African cup of nations, and Sheva on his own isn't the best replacement.
Also next season I would like to have Robben fit for a whole season no injuries. Doubt it tho

Cech has been poor for his standards in the last 4 or 5 matches tbh, before that when he was going on his streak of not conceding he was awesome and if he'd have not got injured and been on that form then things may have been different.
Sheva played on his own for most of his time at Milan where he was awesome...
Sven, Geremi does his job and he's a great squad player. He never makes mistakes and never lets us down.
Hopefully Sinclair has proved to Jose that he is good enough to be in the squad for next season and wont go out on loan.
My Young player of the season = Mikel
MY player of the season = Drogba (he's changed more games on his own than any other player)
