I wouldnt be surprised if he tracks ashley cole all summer, as he even said he is englands best defender, and we know he rates terry massively, but you need a new right back. I think he will go for joaquin to play on the right, with duff on the left and robben supporting drogba, or he will buy another attacking player to support drogba such as kaka (who can also play on the right), cassano or totti etc as his world class player. Or he may go for gerrard as that rumour resurfaces every so often.

Really? i think johnson is a superb prospect for the future and looked a very accomplished right back at west ham, but he is another player who has slowed his career by chasing money at chelsea, but i still have hopes he can become a world class right back in the future.

It's a shame really cuz Paulo Ferreira is also good. But there has to be a chance when Johnson can play.
You are right Mat about Johnson, give him a few games and he will be a world class defender.

My World Class player would have to be Trezeguet, to make up the four strikers.
And my left back would have to be someone from the ranks who can become a well-known player, if used on a regular basis.

I wouldnt be surprised at all if defoe moves club and chelsea would probably be the best bet after persistant rumours for the past 6 months linking him with a move.

well we are only talking attackers.
here are the unlikely ones
deco, giuly and ronaldinho from barca.
kaka and pirlo from ac milan
adriano from inter
wesley schneider (will be world class)
valeron (probably not suited to the prem)
need to think more about this otherwise ill just real of a load of players that are unlikely.

cole and possibly ronaldinio, i say that because there are a few rumours about goofy being unhappy at barca due to in house fighting, but if thats bollocks which is likely id expect a certain mr gerrard to be playing in blue next season
