Impotent
I thought that against Man City, we looked impotent and uninspired. I just wonder what would have happened if they actually tried to attack us.
Since the introduction of the 433 formation with robben, we have forced the issue and made teams come and attack us, by scoring a goal early or totally battering teams to the point where they have to change things.
B.R. (Before Robben) we looked very similar. To be honest i think just like arsenal with Henry, we are a totally different proposition with robben, but i think tactically we are more flexible than arsenal and it is now a matter of getting the correct blend in our front three.
Despite being tactically more flexible, we are going to rigidly stick to a three man central midfield. It is the core of out success and the way modern football is heading. End of. No more f%*#ing 442.
Gudjohnson CANNOT PLAY UP FRONT ON HIS OWN, HE IS SHIT AT IT...............
Gudjohnson CANNOT PLAY WITH COLE BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO SIMILAR AND COLE IS BETTER..............
Therefore i dont believe Gudjohnson should be anything more than a squad player or a substitute.
Here are the possible variations imo.
(1)........cole
kezman.......drogba
(2).......cole
drogba........duff
(3).........duff
kezman........drogba
(4) cole....drogba....duff
(5) kezman..drogba....duff
Drogba is the only player i would gaurentee a start, he causes so many problems with his strength and is the only striker with aerial ability.
I would personally like to see option (2) in place and if that doesnt work i'd like to see option (5).
Anybody who doesnt think kezman cant play right wing doesnt know kezman, because when RVN was at PSV, thats where he played and scored a considerable amount of goals.
If anyone has any more tactical solutions to our current MICRO-CRISIS, please suggest them, but if you agree with the ones ive suggested just put the number of that idea in your post.
