Default Mourinho to play Duff and Robben

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho plans to play wingers Arjen Robben and Damien Duff in the same side once the pair are fully fit.

Dutchman Robben has yet to appear this season for The Blues after going down in pre-season with an ankle injury.

The Portuguese tactician admits he will play both wide men, once fit, in his side to provide the necessary width for his strikers.

"Their presence will make a lot of difference for many players in the team," Mourinho said.

i was watching a Robben interview the other day on CTV and he said he doesnt mind playing on the right and switching over, he says hes done it for holland and would do it to play for chelsea

The vagueness of Mourinho's quote leaves a lot of doubt.

Maybe he'll see sense and drop Makelele, although it's more likely he'll play Robben and Duff either side of Drogba.

I like the sound of this!

If Kezman plays, and Robben plays on the left, then maybe Kezman will score some goals.

Mind you, Duff might play there, and Robben will get the job up front.

Drogba has looked very average in the premiership, good in Europe but that's against weaker opposition.

Kezman will score goals if given the chances.

Kezman showed at PSV he can score from anywhere if provided but i dont rate drogba as one of the best in the prem yet. I still think you should have bought a class right winger in the summer and let him, duff and robben battle out for the places instead of playing central midfielders on the wing.
