Italian football is in mourning after the death of former Genoa defender Bruno Cappellini.
The stopper passed away at the age of 87 on New Year’s Eve and will be remembered fondly by the port based outfit and their fans.
Cappellini played for the Rossoblu for two seasons between 1946 and 1948 in which he made an impressive 54 appearances.
The former defender, who was never capped at international level, was awarded with the silver star by the Italian Olympic Committee in 2000.
