Default Advice required - watching a live Serie A game

Hey there,

I wonder if someone can point me in the right direction.

At the end of this month I'm travelling to Rome with my girlfriend for a holiday and where she insists on seeing all the great sights like Vatican City, Trevi Fountain, Colosseum etc I'm more concerned on adding the Stadio Olympico to my list of football stadia that I have attended and seen a game at

Can anyone in the know tell me the best method of getting tickets to the Roma vs Palermo game on January 27th? As the stadium houses 80,000+ I'm guessing this game won't sell out? Do they have a window sale at all or is it best to get them in advance? If so, where is the best place to get from?

Also, if anyone can tell me anything else I'd need to know about attending a game in Italy I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance for your help

Just walkup to the Olimpico ticket counters before the match and you should be able to choose from a # of sections/prices...

Its an easy cab ride from the center of rome.

It's just as easy, and alot more fun, to go with the rest of the fans on the metro to Flaminio and either walk it (follow the others) or take the bus the rest of the way (same idea, you'll see others in football scarves, shirts, ect & follow them).

One thing I do recommend is bring your passport, I don't know the exact rules, but you might need it or some type of identification.

If your going to a Roma game, vote for Roma.

If your going to a Lazio game, vote for Lazio. (one week Roma, next week Lazio)

Be nice to everyone, don't piss anybody off, you should be fine and have a great time.

Palermo/Roma should be a great match.

You could also buy the tickets online, from the Roma webpage.....but its in Italian.

Though I don't see Roma/Palermo sold out.

Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Re: this one.

Does anyone know what time the ground opens up to allow people to get tickets before the game on a Sunday? Or is it advisable to try and get them on the Saturday instead??

Thanks in advance for your help.
