Novellino is alright. I like him. He's always animated on the pitch. Funny guy. He should do well for Torino.

Now the question is, will Recoba follow him?

Who knows. But Recoba will be in the exact same situation next season, as he was last season at Inter. So he should really decide what's best for him. Torino would be a good fit. He will actually get to play there.

Newly-appointed Torino Coach Walter Novellino is pleased to work with the club where he made his debut as a player.
The boss was named as Gianni De Biasi’s replacement on Wednesday after ending his five-year stay at Sampdoria last week with a ninth placed finish in Serie A.
“I feel like I am back home, with the colours that allowed me to make my debut in football,” Novellino told the Press.
“Now I am here in Torino, an ambitious and important club. President Urbano Cairo’s enthusiasm was decisive in my choice,” added the former midfielder.
“I was also impressed by the affection shown by the Granata supporters. I will try to repay this with my work and my dedication to the cause,” concluded Novellino.
The 54-year-old tactician agreed to a two-year contract with the Turin club, who finished the season in 17th place under the guidance of De Biasi and Alberto Zaccheroni.

Walter Novellino has admitted that he’s fulfilled a dream by becoming Coach of Serie A side Torino.
Novellino has replaced Gianni De Biasi on the Granata bench after spending five seasons at Sampdoria, returning to the club where he made his debut as a top-flight player back in 1972.
“I feel I am back home,” said Novellino as he was unveiled to the media on Wednesday. “This is a dream come true thanks to President Urbano Cairo.
“I arrived here when I was a kid and I return after 37 years. I have always been paired with Toro because I grew up at the Filadelfia.”
The 54-year-old was offered a two-year contract by the sleeping giants and he had no hesitation in putting pen to paper.
“I immediately accepted Cairo’s offer and I will do all I can in order for the team to be one of the protagonists of next season,” he added.
“I was so excited last night that I wasn’t able to sleep and I hope I will meet the supporters’ expectations.”
The Granata, who ended last season in 17th, will also have a derby to face next term after Juventus were promoted back to the First Division.
“The derby is an amazing thing,” added Novellino. “It represents an event for the entire city and we hope to win it.
“I want my men to be determined and strong – they need to show the features which characterise the Granata tradition.
“Did Juventus contact me this summer? For me, I’m now at the strongest club in Italy…”
Torino have also announced the appointment of a new general director in the shape of Stefano Antonelli and sporting director Fabio Lupo.

He'll do well for them, he's a good coach.
Quote:
Becoming the Coach of Torino is a childhood dream come true, says new helmer Walter Novellino.
“I grew up with these colours in my heart, so now to train players wearing the Granata shirt is a dream come true,” he explained from their pre-season training camp.
“This is like the first day of school… except this time I am the teacher!”
Novellino made the move to Turin after five years in charge of Sampdoria and has brought in players such as Eugenio Corini, Vincenzo Grella, Nicola Ventola, Sasa Bjelanovic and Matteo Sereni.
“I have the squad I wanted and this team will be able to trouble everyone they face. The new signings were picked in full agreement with the club and they acted brilliantly on the transfer market.”
Toro will certainly be hoping for a better performance than last season, when they finished just one point clear of the relegation zone.
“Will we proclaim our ambitions? No, we just have to focus on working hard so that we can get a good start in Serie A. The rest will come naturally as a consequence.”
