Kahn...it was a help for me yesterday during the Bayern/Milan match. I was working so i came on TS and wanted to know the score. I was in a hurry to know the score, and i knew you update the title so i went to the bayern thread. Great idea to Frank...it can be difficult to keep track of every goal as it happens....but maybe if we put the final result in the title would be good....if we can remember!

We only update result in the title thread when we are watching only that game. When there are 4 or 5 games at the same time, we wait until it's over.

I'm actually slightly against the idea, as the channels here sometimes show games on delay (and sometimes I need to record games and watch them later) and there's nothing worse than wanting to be surprised by the result when you finally get to watch it... and seeing all the scores when you log in! When the score isn't in the thread title, it's far easier to avoid accidentally "spoiling" it for yourself.
Yeah, yeah, I know-- "then don't log in until you've watched it, stupid". And if you guys all want to put scores in the thread titles, I'm fine with it and will put scores in the titles of my match threads too. Just saying, there are downsides to it as well. I'm not really in favor of it, but if you all want it I'll go along with it.

You make a good point Diabolico...for me, here in Canada...they tend to show replays of the games hours later...so when Roma is playing on repeat...i stay clear of the computer and the tv...i hate when it gets spoiled...
but on the other hand....what happens when we want to know the score in say ex. Inter/Udinise match..and there are like 30 pages on comments...and all you really want to know is the score...you have to search page by page for the result....instead of seeing the thread title.
Or maybe we could post a sticky of Weekly Match Results on the calcio main page instead of in the threads title?

Or you could just go to a website and check the scores.

I don't like posting outside sites...rather keep members on this site for updates/results

The worst is when you've planned to watch both Roma and Milan that day (for example), and during the first of those games the commentators announce how the other one turned out. At least give me some warning so I can hit the mute button!

This is very true as well. Me, I just go look at channel4's site when I want to see results, but you make a good point about wanting to keep people on THIS site. I like the idea of a match results thread. Some other possibilities, maybe:
- After the game, edit the first post of the match thread to include the score in bold at the top.
- Use the idea of putting scores in thread titles, but put them at the end of the title so at least the score won't show up on the main forum page or main Italian forum (i.e., if that thread is the most recent post). In other words, if you do something like this:
Serie A: Messina-Milan [14-07-07] ----- Result: 0-3
...the title will cut off before the score. (Not sure how many characters it cuts off after, but that should be enough.) Then you can just avoid that team's forum to avoid knowing the result.
