definitely an own goal, but i think they should change the standard and have the last person who touches the ball to get credit for an own goal...just my opinion...they do it in the NHL...so why not calcio? Glad Totti is #1

They used to do that in Italy up untill about 15 years ago.
Personally I think it's a little harsh though.

Look at the season Quagliarella is having. A call up to the NT maybe?
The same can be said of Bianchi as well.

There's 7 Italians in the top 10, that's good to see.

I find this table a little misleading. A lot of the minnows don't score a lot.
So the scoring seems to be concentrated amongst the strikers, usually one that gets the buk of the work.
Having said this, the table does prove without a shawdow of a doubt that the Fiorentina duo is the best in the league by far.

For once there's no Adriano, Gilardino, Inzaghi....
Maybe a new generation is emerging.

I wish there was a site that tracked assists also..do any of you know of any?
Then add both goals and assists, and you would see who is truely deadly.

5 Totti 11 goals & 4 assists
Deadliest offensive threat in the league, however for some reason I thought he would have had more assists.

It's not that surprising, assists are harder to come by than goals.
Look at the assist leaders, they only have five.

Thanks for the stats......i was surprised Taddei had so many assists. He is such an under rated player.

I really think players should be rewarded for assists...we credit players for scoring when a player like (example) Pirlo will score 3 goals all season, and may end up with 15 assists. Therefore, such players do not get the credit they rightly deserve. The NHL awards each goal with two assists...we should follow the same footsteps.
