yeah but argentina didnt seem to want to really overexert themselves, they didnt create many clearcut chances altho tevez was battling away.
the stadium was full of brazilian supporters and there was practically no argentinian support, no chants except for once where a few people shouted argentina then got drowned out by chants of brazil, maybe the team got intimidated?
it was a pretty even game tho. altho it was almost full strnegth argentina vs mostly brazil U23s...
attendance was 59, 032 people

Only Tevez was battling, I can't believe how Messi played the 90 mins. I counted 10 balls lost by Messi and he ruined a lot of atacks.

i agree 100%, i was really disappointed with messi because hes one of my favourite players and he was the player i was most looking forward to watching (even more so than ronaldinho if hed played) and he didnt seem up for it

I was disapointed with Riquelme also, he missed a lot of passes, missed a lot of shots and didn't take the freekicks as good as he always does.

it was as if he wasnt playing, especially in the second half, he barely even touched the ball to do something with it. the brazilians tho were very lively, they were pressing the argentinians hard whenever they didnt have the ball.

I liked to see Fred playing, he is a great striker and off course, how could I not mention the goal by Kaka, absolutely fantastic.

^^thats true too, i dont think their new manager biles (sp?) will last long if his team keeps playing like they did today, he didnt seem particularly tactically aware...
