3 sources here which say that Chelsea made an enquiry about Henry and Barca are considering it after 7 measly league goals in his first season. The quote on Soccernet from a club source says "If we receive a proposition then we will speak to the player, we have not opened the door for Henry and we have not closed it."

Henry might also consider a move to London as then he'll be re-united with his 3 year old daughter who he's only seen 5 times this season.

We'll see what happens here. May depend on the new coach.

He has already been linked with a move out of Barca.......I know 7 goals for him isn't great but let him get used to the league first...A few years ago I would have loved to see Henry at chelsea but I doubt that we will buy him...I'm sure the heirachy have understood from the Sheva transfer that buying 30+ players isn't the best idea... Of course I know that he can play in the EPL but still...he is injury prone now and and with the money we would give for him we could get a younger striker etc...

Despite Henry being 30, injury-prone, low on confidence and goals, unable to play to his best in a 4-3-3, Chelsea still want to sign him? Nice...

I don't think he'd accept the move anyway, but this would mean Chelsea would have to change their style completely if they did get him. Probably play 4-4-2 with Anelka and Henry (when he's fit) assuming Drogba leaves. But with those 2 up front it would mean the defence would have to be less hurried in getting the ball forward so often...

He could play the role Kalou does for us so terribly.

Henry To Return To England

Thierry Henry has reportedly decided to leave Barcelona at the end of the season to return to London and the Premier League

The former Arsenal striker has told Barca boss Frank Rijkaard that he wants to leave Camp Nou in the summer, having failed to settle in Spain.

The 30-year-old arrived in Catalunia only last summer after a ₤16.1 million transfer from the Gunners, but having been played out of position on the left all season has only managed seven goals in 25 appearances to date.

And Barca have announced they will not attempt to hinder his departure if he wishes to leave.

“If we receive a proposal then then we will speak to the player,” said a source from the club. “We have not opened the door for Henry, but we have not closed it.”

It is understood the overriding reason for Henry’s desired return to England is that he wishes to see more of his daughter Tea, following his divorce from his former partner Claire Merry.

Hence, the English capital is the most likely destination for the Frenchman. However, it is unlikely he will return to Arsenal due to the tense relationship that formed between the striker and manager Arsene Wenger prior to his departure for Spain.

Chelsea would be runaway favourites to sign Henry, as owner Roman Abramovich seeks to overhaul his squad in the summer. But Manchester City and Newcastle United may also be in the hunt, as it is possible they would allow Henry to commute from London.

Henry staying in Spain, say Barca

Barcelona have scotched rumours linking their striker Thierry Henry with an instant return to the Premier League.

The Frenchman left Arsenal for the Catalan giants in the summer, but Sunday newspaper reports suggested he could be on his way back to England.

However, Barca vice-president Ferran Soriano told BBC Sport: "I spoke with him (Henry) a week ago and he is happy.

"We are not doing well in the domestic championship, but he is fine and I'm sure he is not coming back to the UK."

Then quizzed whether he will remain with Barca next season, he said: "Yes."

Meanwhile, coach Frank Rijkaard's future at the Nou Camp remains uncertain after Soriano refused to confirm that the Dutchman would be in charge next season.

Rijkaard has been linked with a move to Chelsea, should the Blues dispense with the services of manager Avram Grant.

And Soriano said: "The fact we are not getting the results in the domestic league is the fault of everybody, but we are very happy with Frank Rijkaard.

"You can never say 100% (he will stay) because at the end of the season we're going to review the performances of the players and coach.

"I think he has no plans to leave Barcelona and go to Chelsea.

"We've decided not to talk about this until the end of the season because we are concentrated and very focused."

Henry is currently injured and 75% won't play. Which means Bojan will start probably over Giovani and probably on the left wing but then will probably switch with Eto'o throughout the game. Lots of probablys but because of Henry's half injured status we can't tell if Rijkaard will rush him back or leave him to cure.

He might even go for Iniesta LW and Gudy in midfield.

I don't think Henry will join Chelsea since they have Anelka. Maybe Spurs will try to sign him...? Even if Barca rules out a move for Henry I still think there is a good chance to sign him if a club wants to.

As a United fan I hope he goes with Bojan, I don't doubt his talent but neither he nor Eto'o are wide players and the less time Eto'o spends in the centre the better, although Wes Brown would have to be on top of his game.

I think its pretty safe to say that he will stay at Barca, he waited long enough to get there, he wouldnt want to go so soon (esp if they end the season without a trophy, which i think they will).

Henry: I'm Not Leaving Barcelona

Scotching rumours of a return to the English Premier League, Barcelona striker Thierry Henry has stated that he will not be leaving his current club this summer...

The French international has endured a difficult debut season at Camp Nou, but it appears that he wishes to stick it out for the long term in Catalunya.

Speaking to Le Parisien newspaper, he said: "As for my future - no, I don't want to leave.

"I'm still under contract here for three years, and I will still be here next year."

Henry, 30, returned to form this weekend as he played an integral role in FCB's 6-0 mauling of Valencia.

However, a tough run over the last few months led to rumousr that he was angling for a switch back to England, either to his former club Arsenal or to a team like Newcastle United.

The record French international goalscorer has managed nine goals in 27 Liga appearances this season.

Barcelona striker Thierry Henry has revealed that his coach, Josep Guardiola, does not want him to leave - much to his relief...

Reports in Spain and France had suggested that the former Arsenal hit-man was unsettled at Camp Nou and that he may be leaving during the summer transfer period.

However, Henry has affirmed that the new coach wants him to stay.

“I have seen his intentions and he doesn’t want me to leave,” Henry told SPort today.

“I still have three years left on my contract and I am still a Barcelona player.

“I have shown my work and what I am able to do and if I have not been doing well up front, I have made up for it by helping the back.

“I have been here one year but what annoys me is the comparison with the Henry of Arsenal when I have always said it’s different here.”

Henry also had a few words regarding France’s chances at the Euro 2008 tournament in Austria and Switzerland next month.

“I think France has a side capable of winning the European championship,” said Henry.

“However we have to take our first game against Romania seriously as this will set up our path.”

France kick off their campaign on June 9th in Zurich.
