Report: Trez Certain To Sign For Barca
Quote:
The Gazzetta dello Sport says that David Trezeguet is certain to sign for Barcelona, despite the Frenchman’s claims that he wants to end his career in Turin.
Trezeguet has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona over the last week or so, with new Coach Josep Guardiola said to be desperate to sign the prolific marksman.
However yesterday the 30-year-old seemed to shut the door on a possible transfer by pledging the rest of his career to Juve.
“I recently signed an extension until 2011 and I hope to end my career here,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“I came close to signing for Barcelona three years ago but Capello convinced me to stay. I love this club and I have no intention of leaving.”
Trezeguet was in fact referring to 2004 when a deal had been done with Barca, only for new coach Fabio Capello to block the transfer at the last minute.
The Gazzetta says that Alessio Secco and Jean-Claude Blanc have set-up a transfer again with the Blaugrana, but this time current coach Claudio Ranieri will have no vetoing powers.
With the money Juve receive for Trezeguet, thought to be around €20m, they will then use to buy Liverpool’s Xabi Alonso, although they will have to add an extra €2m to snap up the Spaniard.
Alonso, who had a very poor season last campaign, is certain to leave Liverpool, as the Merseysiders are on the brink of capturing Aston Villa’s Gareth Barry for €18m.

Problem is the probable 20m euro fee for a damn 30 year old.
Henry will be 31 next season and although the Henry - Trez combo will be lightning they'll be too old in 2 years time.
Although Bojan would be 19 years old, probably not old enough by then to be the full starter although if he develops like Messi then he will be.

Sao Paolo want at least 15 million euros for him.

Hernanes: "Estoy preparado para jugar en el Barcelona" | SPORT | Barça
Hernanes confirms that the offer to Sao Paolo exists and he hopes Sao Paolo accept a Barca offer. Hernanes is pretty versatile, he can play as DM, CM or out wide so he'll probably be used as a utility man by Pep if he gets him.

Mourinho Asked Barça For Interview
Quote:
José Mourinho approached Barcelona and offered to become the club's new coach rather than wait for the club to contact him, the Catalan outfit have revealed.
The Portuguese trainer was keen to return to Camp Nou, where he once worked as a translator for Bobby Robson, to take over at the helm and looked to open talks.
Barça's sporting vice-president Marc Ingla told Catalunya Radio that Mourinho instigated the meeting, but the club always had Pep Guardiola as their first choice to replace Frank Rijkaard.
"We always worked on the hypothesis of promoting Pep, but we know that the job of coach at Barcelona is one of the most sought-after and Mourinho was interest in explaining his plan for the club and we listened," he revealed.
Mourinho has never hidden his desire to go back to Barcelona, but there was little chance of it happening this summer with so many of the current board opposed to the idea.
Johan Cruyff, in particular, was said to not want the coach that caused so much friction between Barça and Chelsea during their meetings in the Champions League.
While Mourinho landed the Inter job after the Barça talks, the Blaugrana handed the reins to Guardiola and Ingla has no doubt that they have the right man.
"He has Blaugrana DNA," the director added.

Barcelona chose Guardiola over Mourinho then and preferred Guardiola's plans.
