¡Increíble! Una millonada por Thuram | SPORT | Confidencial

The amount that Thuram earns has been revealed. Thuram earns a whopping 6m euros a season, add to that the 5m euros transfer fee and he's cost Barca 17m euros for just being here for 2 seasons. Ridiculous, luckily he's leaving this summer on a free.

Cáceres, más cerca del Barça | SPORT | Barça

Cáceres is close to Barcelona. He's agreed a 4 year deal, but the price is what is suprising me. He's got a 20m euros buyout clause but it looks like Barcelona have agreed a deal for around 15-17m euros which sounds like a lot, even for someone who's had an as great season as Cáceres.

Txiki cerró ayer un acuerdo con Hleb | SPORT | Barça

Txiki has agreed terms with Hleb but the hard part is haggling over the price. Plus there may be a bidding war from Real and Inter.

Agent Admits Ibra–Eto’o Swap Deal

Quote:

The agent of Zlatan Ibrahimovic has admitted that there is a real possibility that his client could move to Barcelona in a swap deal involving Samuel Eto’o.

Ibrahimovic has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona over the past week or so, but until now there was nothing serious to suggest that the reports were merely paper talk and speculation.

However now the Swede’s agent Mino Raiola has sensationally revealed that plans are in place to arrange a deal that would see his client move to Catalonia in exchange for Cameroon hitman Samuel Eto’o.

"The possibility that Ibrahimovic will go to Barcelona to replace Eto'o is real," stated Raiola.

"But we must reach agreement with the clubs.

“And if Inter can find an agreement with Barcelona, then we'll evaluate the proposal of the Blaugrana."

Ibrahimovic recently stated in the press that he would like to play in either Spain or England in the coming years, while Eto’o is also thought to want a new challenge abroad, having spent his whole professional career in Spain since 1996, with the last four years at Barca.

Luca Capofranco - Goal.com

Eto'o for Ibra? No thanks.

Barça Still Want Trezeguet - Agent
Barcelona are said to have been interested in Juventus striker David Trezeguet - and in fact, according to an agent, they still are...

Agent Antonio Caliendo believes that Trezeguet could be making his way to Catalunya this summer as a replacement for the possibly-exit-bound Samuel Eto'o.

'Trez' is apparently near the top of Barcelona's shopping list due to the fact that they've been watching him closely for several seasons.

Speaking to French sports daily L'Equipe, Caliendo says, "Barcelona are interested in Trezeguet, and not for the first time.

"They've held such an interest in David for four seasons now.

"Things are uncertain in the attack at Barça, particularly with Eto'o. There may be changes."

Despite hitting 20 league goals for the Old Lady last season, Trezeguet was left out of the Euro 2008-bound France squad by manager Raymond Domenech.

20 million is too much for a 20 year old boy... but if we are going to pay such amount for a CB, then there are no better options than caceres in my opinion. this guy is phenomenal and he can become the successor of puyol easily.

I don't want hleb, for any price. I think he's a a decent player but not for la liga and especially not for barca.
silva is by far better than malouda or hleb even for a double price I'd take him. I hope laporta/rosel agree with me.

is there a striker better than zlatan?

and trezeguet... I was never a fan of him, even though I do think we need a box striker like him. plus he's too old, we need a 23-28 year old player because we have a 30+ and a 20- strikers already

I wouldn't straight swap them because Eto'o is better. Villa would be my second choice and Benzema third but I still wouldn't straight swap Ibra-Eto'o.

Barcelona On Verge Of Signing Hleb And Carceres

Barcelona are close to signing Arsenal's want away midfielder Alexander Hleb as well as Villarreal defender Martin Carceres according to Sport.

The Arsenal man was heavily linked with a move to Serie A giants Inter but it now seems highly likely that his future lies with the Camp Nou side.

Arsenal representatives are currently in talks with Barcelona directors with a view to offload Hleb who has wanted to leave the Gunners for quite some time.

Carceres' entourage are also holding talks with the Catalonian club and it seems as if he too will end up wearing the famous Blaugrana shirt next season.

Barcelona are looking to conclude the deals for both players within the next few days and all that is missing is an economic agreement between the three clubs involved. The Camp Nou side are not looking to spend more than €20m for the Villarreal defender and the Yellow Submarines cannot hold onto him given the player's desire to leave.

Carceres' future is now in the hands of his current club who are yet to decide whether or not to accept Barcelona's bid. The defender admits that he is still unsure of what is happening.

"I am aware that my agent has something lined up but nothing is concrete just yet," the stopper told Sport.

Hleb on the other hand knows exactly what he wants and he has explained his decision to leave the Emirates.

"Winning titles is the most important to me and after two years without winning anything, it's time to move on," said the attacking midfielder.

"I have learned plenty under Arsene Wenger and he gave me the chance to shine at Arsenal and I cannot thank him enough for this.

"If I do leave then it will be abroad because I don't want to play for anyone else in England."

The Blaugrana are currently in the process of bolstering their squad as they look to mount a serious assault on every trophy next season.

Two years without trophies was too much for the club and it lead to Frank Rijkaard being replaced on the bench.

Hleb has already had enough of being in the losing team and he will be hoping to win great things if he does end up plying his trade at Camp Nou.

I'd much prefer Silva to Hleb.

Barcelona Hope To Wrap Up Triple Deal

Quote:

Barcelona hope to complete the signings of Daniel Alves, Martín Cáceres and Aleksandr Hleb this week to avoid a summer soap opera of predictions in the media.

The Blaugrana want to avoid the annual guessing game played out in the press and instead intend to press ahead and secure the services of the trio as quickly as possible.

According to Sport, Barça expect to have to pay Sevilla €32m for Alves, while both Cáceres and Hleb will set the Catalan club back €15m each from Villarreal and Arsenal respectively.

Alves will be the most difficult situation to deal with because the player is currently away with the Brazil national team until later this month.

Added that is the fact that Sevilla president José Maria del Nido is not prepared to let the full-back go on the cheap and will keep pushing the price while he knows that there are interested parties.

Cáceres' situation is also capable of turning in to a drawn out saga because Villarreal only own 50 per cent of his rights and are demanding a fee that will see them earn enough to buy a replacement.

The player himself has made it clear that if the chance came to move to Camp Nou it would be very difficult to resist, but has not ruled out remaining at El Madrigal for a season.

Hleb's move appears imminent with the Belorussian star having appeared to have finished his time at Arsenal and is now just waiting for a transfer to be finalised.

After stating that he wants to leave the Gunners to win medals, a switch to Barça is now his favourite option according to reports and talks are ongoing.

Hleb is the one I don't want. I'd rather pay the extra 3-5m euros for Silva.

Mancini Set For Barca Move?

According to DiarioSport, new Barcelona boss Josep Guardiola is preparing a bid for Roma contract rebel Amantino Mancini.

Mancini is almost certain to leave the Gaillorossi this summer as his contract runs out in 2009, and he has refused to sign a new deal.

The Brazilian has been linked with a host of top clubs, including Juventus, Inter, Liverpool and Lyon, and Roma will choose to cash in on him, rather than risk losing him on a free next year.

DiarioSport says that Barcelona coach Guardiola will launch a bid for Mancini, if Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido refuses to drop his asking price for the club’s primary transfer target Daniel Alves.

Blaugrana chiefs Marc Ingla and Txiki Begiristain have arranged a meeting this week with Italian Super Agent Ernesto Bronzetti and they will discuss a possible transfer deal regarding Mancini.

The winger’s agent, Gilmar Veloz, will arrive in the Italian peninsula tomorrow to sort out his client’s future and to look at transfer offers.

Mancini, who has been at Roma since 2003, scored eight goals in 31 Serie A appearances last season.

Mancini to Barca is a strange one because Barca actually want him to play RB. Despite being a LW last season and a RW often before that. He used to be a wingback but can we trust him to play there?

Mancini Agrees Terms With Barca

Quote:

Roma winger Amantino Mancini is edging closer to a move to Barcelona and Il Romanista says that he has agreed personal terms with the Blaugrana.

Mancini is certain to leave the Giallorossi as his contract runs out in 2009, and he has refused to sign an extension. The wideman has been associated with a host of Europe’s top teams, including Inter, Liverpool, Lyon and Juventus, and Roma will choose to sell him, rather than risk losing him on a Bosman transfer next year.

Barcelona have been stepping up their attempts to sign Mancini over the past few days, and Italian super agent Ernesto Bronzetti, who represents Barca, was in Rome yesterday for transfer talks.

Mancini's agent, Gilmar Veloz, is said to have agreed a four-year contract with Barcelona for his client worth €3.7m a year.

Barcelona have yet to confirm that they are on the verge of signing Mancini, although vice-president Ferran Soriano refused to rule out the club’s interest in the 28-year-old.

"I am not saying that we are not interested in Mancini,” Soriano stated.

“But I can say we have not spoken with the player nor Roma."

Mancini scored eight goals in 31 Serie A appearances last season for the Eternal City outfit.

Mancini is being linked strongly with Barca but I don't see where he'll fit in.

The Spanish dailies said a while back that he'd be signed to play in central midfield and a backup to Messi and the other winger. Then he was linked to play at RB. Is Mancini just going to be signed to be the ultimate utility player or will he even be the new LW instead of Hleb?

Mancini is a better player than Hleb and he can play almost anywhere hleb can. I think.
so, if we get mancini instead of hleb, its good.
if we get both, its no good.
if we get silva instead of the 2, its the best.
