aston villa 0-1 sunderland
absolute dross...
every single player was gash, and how the likes of agbonlahor can be picked for england when he has been sh!t for 3 months, i will never know...
sad thing is, im expecting that kind of "performance" every match now...
i hope each and every one of them gets a good rollocking from the manager, and then the chairman gives the manager one as well...
all sh!t...
roll on the manure whupping...

our squad issues that were pretty obvious from the start, are all too prevalent now and we are suffering for that....

Over-reliant on inconsistent youngsters? Or is this an Arsenal-esque problem of having a small squad who are really feeling the strain as we reach the sharp end of the season?
Andy I'm guess you don't buy MON's theory that loosing 4-0 at a ground where Liverpool have lost 3-0 and Arsenal have lost 4-0 as well in recent weeks isn't that bad a result?
I thought you guys were poor yesterday; we played very well but you look at the goals:
1 - poor defending, should have dealt with the corner better
2 - poor defending, why was there no one near Tevez?
3 - unfortunate, a miss-hit pass from Ronaldo turned out to be a quite brilliant pass through to Rooney
4 - why did Rooney have so much space?
Yes we stretched your defence and made gaps appear but Villa didn't really make it very hard.

it was a shit result...
we seem to roll over everytime we see you lot..
some of the defending was absolutely comical...
i dont mind losing, especially to a class side like united, however, all i want to see is some effort... i saw none of that on saturday...
it was quite frankly, pathetic... and thats how we have been since the arsenal game...
we do have a small squad, however, thats down to the manager and is definately NOT a valid excuse by either the manager, or the fans...
the manager let players go without replacing them, and now what nearly all villa fans said would happen, is happening...
its no real surprise to us, and im annoyed that the manager has let it come to this and we are undoing all the hard work we put in over three quarters of the season...

Fair point. A few months Villa were in a great position and looked like really make progress this season. Not so much now. You've only managed to keep 7th place because Man City have become truly woeful and Blackburn have gone off the boil too.

tbh, even we will have made progress this season for me...
not as quickly as we thought we might, after how we started earlier in the season, but we will still have progressed...
im still optimistic over our future as we have progressed, and this has been done with a very small squad with no right back or right winger...
so would love to see how far we can go when we have improved the squad and filled all the positions in the squad...
