Default arsenal 1-1 aston villa

a result i would have taken before kick off, but to drop the points 2 seconds from the end, 58 seconds over the alloted 3 mins of injury time is really gutting...

feels like a defeat...

but it doesnt compare to losing curtis davies for 6 months with a ruptured achilles tendon...

gutted and a crap day all round...

Gabby was a big handful for them on the break.

You can be pleased you at created alot of chances against them.

Arsenal are so great at getting late goals.

I thought you were really unlucky yesterday, but you still have a great chance of fourth place. I think it will be between yourselves, Everton and Liverpool, and if you can keep your best players fit, then who knows?

Good to see so many British players getting a chance as well. I've been really impressed with Ashley Young this season, he seems to be getting better with each game.

losing davies for 6 months was a blow which will affect our final 10 games...

if we had won yesterday, then we would have been in with a shout of the champions league spots, but i felt we have dropped away from the spots with the dropped points...

which is probably not such a bad thing with the size of our ever decreasing squad...

How was Young against Clichy?

Is he effective on the right wing? On the left he can always cut in on his right foot.

Had a good shot though 2nd half.

he is very good on the right wing... he does seem to prefer the left though as he likes to cut in and have a shot, etc.. personally, i prefer him on the right so that he can use his right foot and whip crosses in, but he is equally effective on both sides...

he was decent against glichy.. kept him back purely with his attacking threat and he worked hard, as well as running at him...

he is a quality young player... one of the best wingers in the league...

I saw O'Neils comment today in the papers about Arsene Wenger about him being a mathatician.....and how they put in challenges he refered to a two footed from Flamini during the game....

fair play ..

I thought Arsenal scored after 92 minutes and 58 seconds (as in 2 seconds inside the allotted time).

Either way they didn't deserve anything from the game and were bloody lucky to get a point.

What did you think of Wenger's comments that Arsenal were poor 1st half because they were still suffering the after effects of Eduardo's injury?

you may be right... 2 seconds from the end of the alloted injury time...

as for wengers comments, tbh, excuses are expected from him..

we actually were suffering the after effects of davies injury, as we had to replace him and reo coker with osbourne and knight...

so its all swings and roundabouts...

wonder what the excuse was when we played them off the park in the second half at villa park? i cant remember what he said about that....
