Steven Davis has joined Premiership rivals Fulham.

The former Villa Player of the Year signed for the London club this morning after passing a medical and agreeing personal terms.

Davis established himself in the Villa first team after coming through the youth ranks at Villa Park and was a member of the FA Youth Cup winning side in 2002.

He signed professional terms after shining on the pre-season tour of Scandinavia ahead of the 2003-04 campaign.

He made his Barclays Premiership debut as a second-half substitute against Norwich City in September 2004 and scored his first top-flight goal in the 3-2 win at Southampton in April 2005.

shame to see the lad go...

think he is a quality young player who has the potential to progress a lot...

but if he didnt want to fight for his first team place, then the manager had no option but to let an unhappy player leave...

shame though...

I hadn't thought Villa would let him go that easy.He came from their youth academy and was their special one with a bright future ahead.But it seems Villa have to high ambitions to find him good enough.
