Default Villa boss O'Neill sends his scouts away

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill will dispatch his scouts around the globe as he works towards the summer market.

O'Neill insists the hard work of monitoring potential targets will continue despite the closure of the transfer window.

"I think the work goes on all the time," he said. "Now, with the window over, there's nothing you can actually do until the end of the season.

"But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't then be going out. We will take in games and we're developing the scouting system."
