Default Villa To Bag Bardsley....

United are willing to loan him out again so that he can get valuable first team action and Villa are leading the chase for his signature.

Bardsley's agent Des Wroe confirmed Villa's interest and intimated a deal could be done in the next few days for the player.

"Yes, Aston Villa have shown an interest in Phil," Wroe told skysports.com.

"There are a few other clubs interested along with Villa and I am hopeful of sorting something out in the next two or three days."

Bardsley has held talks with Sunderland, but Wroe admits the player's first choice would be to stay in the Premiership.

"He has been up to Sunderland and met Roy Keane," added Wroe. "He was very interested in what Roy had to say, but he wanted to weigh up his options as other clubs have been interested.

"Phil wants to get back to playing as soon as possible and he would like to stay in the Premiership.

"He believes playing in the Premiership would help catch the eye of Sir Alex Ferguson and put him in his plans for the future."

cant be any worse than hughes, and tbh, gives us some cover and competition until we can get to the summer transfer window and some decent quality might be available at better prices than the ones that seem to be doing the rounds at the moment...

He's a decent enough player, but TBH I don't think many reds would be too upset to see him leave permanently. Good luck to the kid though...

OH OH OOH! It's Carrick you know! Hard to believe it's not Scholes!

Yeah, he's a good player and on ability alone should make it in the premiership. I don't think he is good enough to stay at OT though and he has an attitude problem too.

some short term cover and competition that doesnt cost and allows us to search properly when more players are available and the prices arent so stupid, in the summer...

He has just returned to england after being on loan at rangers, he made a big impression in a short time with the rangers support. think villa have got themselves a guy with a lot of potential if he keeps developing. Wish he had stayed with us to be honest.
