Drobny impressed Villa boss David O'Leary during his trial period at the club when he featured on their tour of Sweden. O'Leary is keen to bolster his defensive options having seen Ronny Johnsen and Rob Edwards leave the club this summer. Drobny becomes the third new face at Villa this summer following the arrivals of Martin Laursen and Carlton Cole.
