watched Laursen play...I think he is a very good defender and his experience playing in europe will form a great strong partnership with Mellberg.Teams will struggle to go past the both.

hopefully..... i miss having a decent central defence partnership. since ugo and pizzaman left for middlesvilla, we hav been quite shaky there.....

alpay was a twat. after the world cup he turned into a right wanker... i refuse to giv the **** any recognition wotsoever..... mellberg is superb though.

I agree he's a complete dickhead but he was a good defender, pity you had no keeper at the time.

hopefully with laursen and mellerg, not only do we hav 2 quality central defenders, but they are professionals too.... dont want no pri-madonnas at villa park anymore.....

i agree with ralf...laursen and mellberg should provide a good professioanl centre back pair, and they may even get villa to climb further up the table *shudders*
