I heard and read that Arsenal are interested in Dortmund's keeper Weidenfeller. Don't know if there's anything serious in it.

Default Eto'o turned down Arsenal

Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o admits that he turned down the chance to sign for Arsenal.

The Premiership side wanted to sign the Cameroon international when he decided to leave Real Mallorca in the summer of 2004, but Eto'o instead decided to move to Barcelona.

However, despite turning the club down, Eto'o admits he has huge respect for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

"I love Arsene Wenger, he is one of the best coaches in the world," he told L'Equipe.

"I could have played for Arsenal some years ago; I would have loved to have had Arsene Wenger as my coach.

"In the end I went to Barca, and I am proud to wear that shirt"

Default Parlour Back At Arsenal - For Training

Having joined Championship side Hull City last week after being released by Middlesbrough, ex-England international midfielder Ray Parlour has revealed that he will train with his former club Arsenal.

Parlour made his Hull debut as a second-half substitute in the Tigers' 2-2 draw at Championship leaders Derby County on Saturday.

It was Parlour's first ever League game outside the English top flight - and his first ever experience of a relegation scrap, which is what Phil Brown's side are involved in, though recent results have been encouraging.

The deal he has struck with the Tigers is a pay-as-you-play arrangement.

Parlour explained: "If I don't play I don't get paid. If my leg goes next week, then that's it for me. I'm probably going to train a lot with Arsenal.

"I've got a good agreement with the club which we are all happy with. I'll be at Hull a couple of days before a game. I feel very fit and I will get fitter with games."

Default Eto'o linked with Arsenal move

Eto'o linked with Arsenal move

Samuel Eto'o has hinted he would like to join Arsenal after his future was plunged into doubt at Barcelona.

The Cameroon striker launched an astonishing attack on Barca boss Frank Rijkaard and team-mate Ronaldinho before admitting he would love to play under Arsene Wenger in the Premiership.

He said: "I love Wenger, he is one of the best coaches in the world.

"I could have played for Arsenal some years ago. I would have loved to have had Wenger as my coach."

Eto'o could be set to leave the Catalan club following a series of disputes with Rijkaard, who accused the forward of refusing to come on as a substitute against Osasuna last weekend.

According to reports in Spain, Eto'o did not attend training on Monday and he spoke to the media on Tuesday to deny Rijkaard's claims.

"Whoever came out in a press conference and said I refused to play is a bad person," he fumed.

"I've always thought about the group (first) and I've always trained with the group. If anybody has balls, they should tell it to me face-to-face."

As well as criticising Rijkaard, he also spoke about comments reportedly made by his Barcelona team-mate Ronaldinho, saying: "If a player comes out and says I should think about the group, then he should think about the group."

He later added: "If a team-mate is upset with me, then they can say so to my face. I wasn't the one who broke the laws of the dressing room. If I have something to say, I always say it inside the dressing room."

The rift could pave the way for Wenger to launch a raid for the striker in the summer, especially if unsettled club captain Thierry Henry decides to quit the club.

Well, I don't think Eto'o will play well because of Henry, he will play well because of Fabregas. Look at last season when Ronaldinho and Eto'o actually formed a great team because the passing of Ronnie is so precise so I think Fabragas's passing is great also...

Henry's form is somehow not so 'great' this season...
