Default SF: ARGENTINA 3-0 BRAZIL ~Beijing Olympics 2008

The big one is today, The winner goes to the final for the golden medal...

Brasil come to this match after a very bad performance against cameroon in the quarter-finals... and argentina are after a performance of good football but weak scoring ability.

the expected line-ups are:

Argentina:
Romero
Zabaleta - Fazio - Garay - Monzon
Gago - Mascherano
Riquelme
Messi - - Lavezzi -- di Maria

Brasil:
Renan
Rafinha - Alex Silva - Breno - Marcelo
Anderson - Lucas - Hernanes - Diego
Ronaldinho - Pato

a huge match with so many great stories and meanings...

in south america, this match has a very big importance even though it's "just" the olympic games.

Messi vs. Ronaldinho

when does this start lionel? I've only been able to watch Brazil, here is Greece so hopefully I will be able to watch this match as well.

What about Rafael Sobis, for Brazil and Aguero, for Argentina.

Brazil haven't conceeded yet but I'm rooting for Argentina in this match. My prediction is whoever wins this match will win the final.

HT 0-0

Both teams have been passing the ball around the back, neither making a break through. Argentina imo have been more attacking and Aguero had the best chance for me from a quick taken free kick. Brazil just seem to lack an attacking presence, I mean I have barely noticed Mascherano, because Gago is doing a gd job and because Brazil haven't really been an attacking threat., I personally would bring on Pato or Jo and take off Rafael Sobis as he isn't having a great game.

Aguero scored another I think. Sort of stopped paying attention after the first half.

I've seen Ronaldinho in a couple of games and I don't think he is ever going to regain his form. He looks lazy and hardly runs. His technique and skills are all still there though.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KUN AGUERO!!!!

2-0 Argentina

Low cross by Zabaleta (I think) and Aguero taps into an open goal. All this happens after Brazil hit the upright through Diego.

Brazil have started to attack more, and the min that they do they conceed another...subbed on Thiago Neves and Pato for Sobis and Hernanes.

Pato scores but it is offside after Ronaldinho's freekick hit the upright and marcelo crossed.

I agree Ronaldinho looks like he can just about move, he is quite slow. It is a shame because his skills are still there like you say but he just seems to be lazy. The only thing he has changes is his hair.

Brazil's defence looked solid in all the other games but today it really has been undone....would quite like to see Banega come on now for Argentina.

Diego has been poor so he is taken off and Jo takes his place.

Lucas and Thiago Neves were both sent off so that killed the game off.

FT 3-0 Argentina

Nice to see Messi and Ronaldinho hugging at the end of the game.

Argentina in the final with Nigeria (I think)

woww, finally we have revenge!!! after 3 years of disappointments, we beat brazil!!

Aguero is the big star but all the players gave it all and each one of them deserve the credit! especially for the fantastic second half.

historic day.

it was Garay who assisted the goal to aguero, he got a golden pass from messi who made chaos out of the defense and then passed to garay who crossed to kun....

Pato's goal was offside, a great free kick by ronaldinho though.

Argentina in the final with Nigeria (I think)
Lucas and thiago neves were sent off after 2 brutal tackles on mascherano who was making crazy runs with the ball. other players like hernanes and breno could easily have been sent off as well.

impressing Nigeria in the final, they beat belgium by 4-1.

dunga is 99% to be sacked.
