Default Gold Medal Match: Argentina 1-0 Nigeria ~Beijing Olympics 2008

The Gold Medal match is tomorrow, early in the morning in europe's timing.
Local time is: Saturday August 23rd , 12:00.

Nigeria have beaten Ivory Coast in the Quarter Final, with a good performance against the team that caused Argentina some trouble in the group stage. and they impressingly thrashed Belgium in the semi final.

12 years ago in Atlanta, it Argentina vs Nigeria for the gold medal, one day after Brazil won the bronze medal, and in that match Argentina of Ortega, Crespo, Sensini, Zanetti and Simeone lost 2-3 to Nigeria of Kanu and Babayaro...

The Argentine players come to the match with very high spirits after the great victory on Brazil and as the big favourites for the gold medal. But I think the players are smart and responsible enough to be 100% centered in the main goal which is winning that match and going back home as kings!

Nigeria do not have very well known players, their biggest stars are Chinedu Ogbuke from Offenheim(Bundesliga), Victor Anichebe from Everton, 27-year-old Odemwingie from Lokomotive and Nsofor Obinna from Chievo.
they have good athlete players who can tackle very hard. their main threat I imagine will be their fast counter-attacks with their great speed in attack.

Batista is expected to start the same line-up that played against Brazil, which is:

Sergio Romero
Pablo Zabaleta - Nicolas Pareja - Ezequiel Garay - Luciano Mozon
Fernando Gago - - Javier Mascherano
Juan Roman Riquelme
Lionel Messi - Sergio Aguero - Angel Di Maria

I think this game will be much more interesting and close than most people think.

In order to win, IMO, we have to play the way we are great at, moving the ball around patiently every time we get it. this way, they can't operate the crazy and so dangerous attacks like they did in the previous matches.
their attack is not organized and it can relatively-easily break down to a decent through ball of Riquelme or Messi... we just need a focused Aguero and I believe he'll be sharper than ever after the goals against Brazil....
