In my mind Tevez would not fit one bit.I'm not sure what MUFC would do because they are loaded with great players they are going to have a problem this year with some very un-happy players.

right.. I realy don't understand why they want tevez and why tevez is happy to go there.
tevez said that he's happy to join mancheseter for being coached by fergie. other than that, I don't see any reasons for this move.

Rooney Excited At Prospect Of Tevez Partnership
Quote:
Wayne Rooney has spoken of his excitement at the prospect of linking up with Carlos Tevez should the Argentine ace seal his move to Old Trafford.
Manchester United are hoping to seal the signing of Tevez, but are yet to seal the deal with West Ham, who claim the ownership of the player.
However, assuming the deal is finally completed this summer the possibility of a Rooney and Tevez strike partnership is one that appeals to the English international.
Rooney told United's official Japanese website, Manchester United Official Web Site - 今日ã®Man Utd.jp, "Playing with Carlos Tevez would be great.
"He did brilliantly for West Ham last season and I think he'll be a great signing for us."
Regarding his own performances, Rooney hopes to improve on last years showing, which saw him score 23 goals for the Premiership champions.
He explained: "I was pleased with my return last season and I want to continue doing my best.
"I don't set myself targets but I'll certainly be looking to do even better than I did last season.
"I haven't got any bets with the manager but hopefully I can score more goals than last year and help us win a trophy.
"All the players are excited by the new arrivals. I know all about Owen Hargreaves from England, while I am sure Nani and Anderson will do well for us.
"This is definitely the strongest squad I have been involved at United. There are more players and better quality players as well. The competition for places next season will be huge.
"Everyone is going to have to be on top of their game and try their best to get into the team."

^ rooney and tevez are very similar.. 2 of the most similar players in the world, imo.
both can play either STs or secondST, and they prefer the second. rooney has more options for hisposition but he usuaky okays the 2 above.

Tevez To Appeal To Fifa
Carlos Tevez will ask for help from Fifa in his bid to join Manchester United.
The Argentinean is desperate for a move to Old Trafford and is currently in Manchester awaiting a medical.
However, West Ham have refused to co-operate in the deal, insisting that an offer is yet to be made. On the other side of the bargain, United are optimistic that a deal can be struck.
The problem surrounds the issue of ownership, with West Ham holding the player’s registration and his agent, Kia Joorabchian, holding the financial rights.
Fifa, the international governing body of the sport, last week confirmed that it would be prepared to step in and resolve the issue if any of the parties involved deemed it fit.
Tevez himself now wants action to be taken in the form of Fifa’s Disputes Resolution Chambers, whom he hopes will be able to free him from his contract with West Ham, paving the way for the striker to join Manchester United.

why does he want to play for united that much? I'm not sure he'll be a starter.. why not going to another club where he can have more minutes? (arsenal? inter? both were interested.. I'd suggest milan also)

United remain hopeful on Tevez
Manchester United chief executive David Gill said Friday he remains hopeful that their 30 million pound move for Carlos Tevez will be wrapped up before the transfer window closes on August 31.
Tevez and his current club West Ham United face a two-week delay in a resolution to the dispute over his registration and ownership due to their decision enlist the help of FIFA in settling their differences.
With the possibility of further action at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the prospect of Argentina striker Tevez failing to sign for United before the window closes has now grown as a possibility.
But Gill believes that FIFA will not allow a situation to develop that sees the player unable to play until the next window opens in January.
'What you find in these situations is that FIFA and the necessary bodies try to make sure that the player can play, whether it's for Manchester United or for West Ham,' he said here where United are on an Asian tour.
'I would have thought that they will do everything they can to make sure the decision is made within the appropriate period.
'Theoretically, you can go from the Dispute Resolution Chamber to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Whether both parties choose to do that, we'll have to see, but that would be the final arbiter.
'The issue is effectively who owns the economic rights to the player, who owns the registration of that player, and therefore what happens to any monies that we might pay.
'Can he unilaterally terminate his registration? Can he move on? That's the fundamental issue.'

if things don't go better, tevez may not be able to play for a team until january!

United are building a very strong team with a lot of new faces .... 20-21 year old players are considered experienced in there new team .... like Rooney and C.Ronaldo ..
so Tevez is a very good deal for them !

^ tevez is good anywhere but the question is wether he will get playing minutes at manchester, were there are players like rooney, cristiano, nani, anderson etc... many players of his type, but no real striker(an out and out striker). so for tevez its questionablr if he'll play much. and for manchester they don't solve their problem with strikers. tevez isn't an out and out striker.

Hammers confirm Tevez deal - Man Utd free to finalise move
Quote:
West Ham United have confirmed that they have agreed a deal for Carlos Tevez to leave the club.
The Hammers have revealed that they will receive £2million compensation for the Argentine - who is now free to join Manchester United.
The announcement brings to an end weeks of negotiations and speculation about Tevez's future and also sees the threat of High Court action ended.
"I am obviously pleased that we have finally reached the end of this saga through agreement and common sense," said Hammers chairman Eggert Magnusson.
"All parties involved can now move on and truly focus on the new season.
"I wish Carlos Tevez well for the next stage of his playing career. He is a fine player and I am sure he will be successful wherever he plays football.
"Personally, I am looking forward to the next stage of our development as a club and for what I hope will be a very exciting new season in the Premier League."
United are now expected to tie-up Tevez on an initial two-year loan deal from MSI, for which they will pay around £10million.
"Carlos is looking forward to being a Manchester United player and his ambition is close to being achieved," said his representative.
After the two-year spell, they will have first option to conclude a permanent transfer of the Argentine forward.
The Premier League has confirmed they are satisfied West Ham acted accordingly when they terminated the third-part deals with Kia Joorabchian in April.
"The Premier League can confirm that its board has received and considered a proposal for the settlement of the dispute between Carlos Tevez and West Ham United," read a statement.
"The decision of the board, having received leading counsel's opinion, is that
the agreement reached is compliant with the rules of the Premier League and consistent with the undertakings given by West Ham United to the Premier League board at various times since 27th April 2007.
"This will lead to the cancellation of Tevez's registration, thereby releasing him to join another club in due course."

He most certainly will be. We currently have 4 strikers, Wayne Rooney, Ole Solskjaer (who won't play a lot, odd cup appearance), Louis Saha (who is described as a sick note) and Carlos Tevez. Rooney and Tevez are both very reliable in terms of fitness, and a cut above the others. We're looking to play 2 of these "strikers" and an additional 2 attackers. It's most likely to be Tevez, Rooney, Ronaldo and Giggs, with Nani and Anderson rotating to keep fitness sharp.
