aren't there other euoropean teams interested? if so, I imagine he'll chose to stay in europe some more.

but it is more possible than people in argentina think. they can afford him and bayern don't need him.

25 years old. He was linked to Roma, Blackburn, Galatasaray and some other club, but all those transfers failed as Bayern's demands weren't fullfiled by those clubs.

I guess we'll have to stick with him for another season until Hoeness decides to sell him for less than 5m €, which is what he is worth IMO.

But I think the fact that his contract only runs out in 2009 is stalling the deals as Bayern don't seem to want to let him go for a little amoutn of cash..

thats interesting..

so river actually can get him if they offer 8-9m. I don't know if he worths this, and for river its a bit too much. but I feel that if he plays for river for one season his price can jump high, and river may sell him for more, afterwards.. but that's just a thought.

Default 4 points from boca

River won 3-1 against Newell's Old Boys in a match that was postponed from the second matchday. river now completed all the missing matches.
Ortega scored the first goal with an unstoppable argentinian penalty, but like crespo in the copa america, landed badly on his foot and was hurt. ortega wasn't able to continue the match and seems to have a tough injury.
the other goals came from Falkao and Abelairas. Alejandro Da Silva scored for Newell's.
River climbed to the 6th place now, only 4 points behind the leaders, Boca Juniors.

River are now just 1 point from the top, after they smashed velez 5-0, with an amazing hattrick from belluschi, one from 18-year-old rios and one from agusto fernandez who is been followed by schuster, real madrid's manager!

a very dramatic match ended ina very bad result for river plate: 1-2 Arsenal.

Matellan(arsenal) scored an amazing goal - a la francescoli - in the 54th minute. 20 minutes before the end, marco ruebn equalized. but at the 90th minute, gandolfi won the match for arsenal.

river stay 4 points behind boca and independiente.

river prove their dominance in 'el monumental'. 5th straight win.

FT : River Plate 3 | 1 Lanus
[43' belluschi]
[47' sanchez]
..................................[67' sand]
[76' belluschi]

this win will take river to the 2nd place in the ranking with the same number of points like boca who'se match will be later tonight. 3 points from independiente.

#10 ariel ortega started.. and played pretty well imo.
but fernando belluschi was the man of the night once again!

river plate conceded 4 goal today in a very very weak performance of most of the players. in an away match versus the surprising side of 'tigre'.
everything went bad today.

FT: Huracan 2 | 1 River Plate
...........................[20' Peralta]
[60' Prette]
[66' Prette]

river were the far better side in the first half and scored one goal but things turned upside down in the second half...

River can forget the 1st place. its a shame that they couldn't continue with the great form of before the elections break and got 1 point from the last 2 matches...

River couldn't make it to the final of the Sudamericana.
they had to face Arsenal after the first leg ended 0-0. the second leg ended the ame way - when river were dominating by far but couldn't score plus ortega got injured and subbed plus ahumada was sent off (exaggerated!).
so it went to penalties... where belluschi - who had an awful day.. played great but had 0 luck - and lima missed from 11 meters...

here are the highlits:
VXV.com :: Tu Videolog + Fotolog :: Video de River perdiΓ³ con Arsenal frente a penales

River end a very unsuccessful (half) season...
