But quite frankly making the papers sir up shit for you is one thing but to call yourself a slave when you are one of the best played football players is just damn right foolish and ridiculous.
He could have handled the situation much better, for example like Tatooed Crusader has written above. Man Utd can be understanding...but now players and managers a like will not look at him the same. I mean so many players have come out and said honour you contract and Blatter is a moron and yet he persists, to such an extent that SAF won't even meet him...I see a massive problem between him and the Man Utd club next season, unless of course he formally apologises focuses on his football and then hopes to be transfered next oportune time.

I know it's the worst way to do it, but it seems that it's the only way that can really guarantee a transfer. I honestly don't think that Ferguson would have granted Ronaldo a transfer no matter how nice he asked for it. He's the most valuable asset on the squad at the moment and it would be foolish to let him go. I think that was probably going through Ronaldo's mind when he decided to go to the media. I'm sure that if Ferguson had given a hint that he would be understanding to this Madrid ambitions, I doubt Ronaldo would have made such a huge fuss because nobody wants to piss people off unless they really have to.
I'm not an expert on personalities or anything, but Ronaldo seems like the type of person that when he sees a target, he will get to it no matter the consequences. If he really wants to go to Madrid as badly as is being suggested, I don't think pissing a few people off is going to matter to him. Just like when he had Rooney sent off in the World Cup, he didn't care that he pissed off his Man Utd teammates and fans, he wanted to win and he was willing to do anything.
Anyways, I'd love to see Ronaldo rot in the reserves. I really do. That way, United won't have extra transfer funds to bring in new players and they will have a player that won't want to play for them. Win-win situation for Chelsea.
