As an Italian and having insight into my league, offering a 30 year old a five year contract, when he is a key member of your club and goes to war for your club, is nothing really. Sure his play will no doubt slow down, but that is how we are. Look at our clubs, we have some old players...Juve have Del Piero, but that leadership is just not replaceable.

Bla, bla. We have a billionaire too. In the end, boards are run to spend less and win at all costs. Chelsea is Inter of a number years ago, or Real Madrid of a few years. Spending will get us out of trouble. We'll buy Sheva, Ballack, Carvalho, Drogba etc......in the end, you have to develop your own players. Bit off topic, but I thought I would respond.

Because the board haven't given into his ridiculous demands. Not really sure on Scolari "twisting" his words, but maybe if Frank just spoke up about his intentions to the fans and the media, everything would be clarified. If he wants to leave, say so. He's a legend, a favourite, and a respected individual at this club. The fans will understand if he says he wants to leave for a new challenge.

Ridiculous?? Read my thoughts above on that. And for speaking up, he has spoken up to the board. He has stated he wants a long term deal for the past few years apparently. He has been waiting for ever for a deal, but you know what?? He has apparently had enough, and went to Milan to see his old friend. You certainly can't blame him? It is a free market. And likewise, if Chelsea want to keep an unhappy player, then that is their perogative.

Lampard has shown over the years that he is reliable, hard-working, and talented. He's a leader on the pitch and in the dressing room, and has been a key player for us. Why wouldn't we want to keep him?

This is something that Chelsea fans should ask their board that runs the club. It seems to me that the Chelsea hierarchy has decided that its their way or the high way in regards to Mr Lampard. Hence the trip to Milan for Mr Lampard.

To be honest, I will be really surprised if both clubs don't agree to some type of deal. The Chelsea management has really fuked up things to the point you have driven away a player, and if he does stay, there will no doubt be bad blood. But rest assured, if Frank does put on an Inter kit, he will be worshipped. And if he produces, we will not drive him away.
