Chimbonda To Reunite With Jol?

Hamburg manager Martin Jol is keen to sign Pascal Chimbonda for a second time, according to News of the World…

The Tottenham defender has long been linked with a move from White Hart Lane, increasingly so since the arrival of Scottish international Alan Hutton in January.

Chimbonda joined the north London club in 2006 after impressing Jol – then at Spurs – with his displays for Wigan Athletic, but the ex-Bastia man has failed to make much of an impression on new boss Juande Ramos.

Aston Villa have also been linked with 29-year-old, as they are in need of a new right-back following the departure of Olof Mellberg to Juventus.

Whoever is to win the one-time les Bleus star’s signature would have to pay at least ₤4million.
