The French international, who was voted Young Player of the Year in France, has been strongly linked with football away from Stade Gerland, with a host of clubs across Europe said to be monitoring his situation.

Arsenal coach, Arsène Wenger, is believed to be a keen admirer of the 21-year-old's potential, but he is expected to face stiff competition from Marseille to win the race for the winger's signature.

Aulas has increased speculation over the future of Ben Arfa by saying that the youngster, who has showed his disappointment by not being a regular starter for Lyon, could leave the club for a fee in the region of €20 million.

"That's the price in the market, even because it is known that Arsenal will pay Marseille 16 million for Samir Nasri," the Lyon chairman said.

News sources in France claim this Thursday that Paris Saint-Germain are in line to make a move for Ben Arfa, who broke into Lyon's senior ranks in the 2004/05 season.
