Samp deny Adri interest Thursday 5 June, 2008
Sampdoria have issued a statement refuting that they are planning a bid for Inter outcast Adriano.
L’Imperatore’s future is up in the air as he completes a successful loan spell at Sao Paulo.
The departure of Coach Roberto Mancini may have opened the Nerazzurri door for Adri, given his well-publicised disagreements with his former boss, but there’s still an abundance of marksmen in the Beneamata ranks.
After the successful rejuvenation of Antonio Cassano at Marassi, there had been widespread rumours that they would try to repeat the feat with Adriano, but those whispers have been extinguished.
“With reference to recent news published in various sources recently, Sampdoria would like to deny any interest in Inter’s Adriano, even though we recognise his qualities,” a statement from Samp reads.
Sampdoria are also being linked to unsettled Juventus striker Raffaele Palladino.
