Juventus are interested in bringing World Cup winner Fabio Grosso back to Italy.

The 30-year-old left back has just won the French Championship with Lyon in his first season at the club.

The Bianconeri are looking to replace Cristian Molinaro, who is expected to join Palermo as part of any deal for Rosanero striker Amauri.

Grosso made 30 appearances for Lyon this year, and is a regular in Roberto Donadoni's Italy side.

Juventus Coach Claudio Ranieri wants to bolster the Bianconeri's ranks with experienced players ahead of the Turin giant's assault on the Champions League next term.

If Grosso is unavailable, however, Juventus will promote from within and give Paolo De Ceglie a chance to prove himself.

The 21-year-old, part owned by Siena, has been impressive this year for the Robur, making 29 appearances.

Nevertheless, there are still doubts as to whether the youngster is ready to play at the highest level, leading Ranieri to point on Grosso.

Grosso has had a rought time in France apparently, but he is still miles better than Molinaro.
