Lyon's goalkeeper Gregory Coupet announced yesterday that the Cup Final against Paris St Germain will be his last one for the club he joined in 1997.
The former St Etienne keeper has won seven league titles in a row with Lyon and played 29 times
for the French national team. His first cap came in 2001 against Australia.
His announcement came at the end of training at the Stade De France ahead of todays Cup Final: "Yes, I'm leaving, it had become an open secret," he Coupet confirmed. "My way of saying thank you to the fans will be to win the Cup by being invincible."
Coupet has recently been rumoured to be a target for Juande Ramos at Tottenham but he denies that he has signed for anyone else.
