Who plays up front or who doesn't is directly related to Toni.

If you follow Luca throughout his career, he seems to do best when alone and deep. Likewise, this forces the second striker to play far behind, or do what Don has done, with wingers as opposed to secondary strikers or tridents.

Del Piero in my opinion doesn't play well with Luca. Why? A variety of reasons I feel. Our game with Toni is simple really. Bang them into the box, where he uses his size and muscle to overpower defenders.

So in a nutshell, up front anyways, who is brought and not, is a mute point.

Midfield is a different story. I would love to see Montolivo and Aquilani included in any formation, but not at the expense of Pirlo.

Cassano is obviously still "black balled". I think what the general public thinks of him, and the rest of the footballing community is two different things.

However even I know he could add another dynamic to our game.

One more thing in regards to how players are performing in Serie A currently....it really means nothing.

When an Italian throws on the kit, they will play with honour and devotion. That is how we win. With a commitment to the cause.

New stars will be born and a passing of the torch will happen.
