Zeljko Petrovic has hinted that he's sign a deal to work alongside ex-Spurs boss Martin Jol at Bundesliga side Hamburg.

Petrovic is at the helm of Dutch outfit RKC Waalwijk and his decision to reject Belgian side AA Gent's approaches in order to join Jol in the Dutchman's Nordbank Arena revolution.

“Martin and I know each other very well,” Petrovic revealed. “He is one of the few trainers I would like to work with as assistant coach.

“I am 42 years old now; by the time our HSV contract ends I will be 44. By then I will have plenty of time to build a career as head coach.
“I can learn a lot at HSV. I see this as a promotion, it is fantastic.”

Jol has been out of management since being replaced by Juane Ramos at White Hart Lane.
