Manucho Pining For United Return

Quote:
Manchester United’s Angolan international striker Manucho admits that he can’t wait to fulfil his dream and represent the Old Trafford Club next season.

Speaking to Setanta Sports, the on-loan Panathinaikos hit-man expressed his delight after Sir Alex Ferguson revealed that he would be called back for pre-season training and have a key involvement for The Red Devil’s next season.

“This is great news because my dream is to play for Manchester United since I signed for them in January,” stated the powerful striker.

Manucho was initially signed by Ferguson in January on a three-year contract, but was immediately loaned to Greek club Panathinaikos due to a lack of clarity over work permit issues.

The forward has impressed in Greece, scoring some important goals, while he also came to the attention of world football fans with some impressive performances for his nation in the recent African Cup of Nations.

“During my time in Greece, I feel that I've adapted well to European football and it's been a good test for me ahead of playing in England," he added. “I hope I can take my chance and prove that I can play in The Premier League.”

He has been capped eleven times for his country, scoring six goals and after impressing in recent months, Manucho is expected to feature regularly next season at Old Trafford due to the persistent injury problems of Louis Saha and the general lack of resources the Champions League finalists have up-front.

I'm unsure what to believe, according to my mate he's been poor for PAO, scored a few goals, but his touch isn't good enough and he doesn't seem up to pace...

I'm trying to stay positive, so we'll see what happens.
