Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan is planning a bid for Rangers defender Carlos Cuellar.
The Northern Echo says the Spaniard was named Scottish Premier League Player of the Year this week having only moved to Ibrox from Osasuna last summer. United officials have watched the 26-year-old in recent months and are preparing a bid.
