The current squad isn't big enough it is that simple.

Wenger has to take pretty much all the blame because it has been the same for several years now - Arsenal get to March/April then fall to pieces. Injuries accumulate forcing already tired players to soldier on.

One thing that rarely gets commented on his the quality of Arsenal's medical staff - they have an awful track record.

How many times have we seen Arsenal players come back from injury only to aggravate the injury and be out for another few months? Van Persie and Henry last season spring to mind, Van Persie again this season (twice?) and also what the hell is wrong with Rosicky? At the time Wenger said he'd be out for no more than a week - that was almost 6 weeks ago.
