Bundesliga, Matchday 27 | PREVIEW
Arminia Bielefeld – Karlsruhe
Bielefeld have been sucked into the bottom three in recent weeks with Cottbus climbing out of the drop zone. Winless since the restart after the winter break, trainer Michael Frontzeck is also still waiting for his first three points as trainer.
The Arminen have managed draws in their last three matches, the last of which came last week against Hamburg, but they desperately need to start getting three points if they are to have any hopes of Bundesliga football next seson.
While Karlsruhe’s star has waned since the winter break they still remain a formidable opponent and wil provide Bielefeld with a tough challenge on Saturday.
They haven’t won in four games but did well to hold Schalke to a goalless draw last weekend. Having dropped down to ninth, their hopes of European qualification look all but doomed, but that doesn’t take anything away from a highly impressive season following promotion.
