Foreign players are good for our game and i don't argue with that but our top players are more interested in there profile they get from playing England rather than just playing for Engand.
What the frig have Spain, won? Holland have won only one Euro 88 and up and until last year the Italians won the World Cup in 1982. The only European country who can shout there mouths off are the French. They produce dynamic football and produce players who can cope with the pressure.
The players of this generation (Erikkson/Mclaren) are the best we have had since 1966-1970. The players have let themselves down. Stevie G being a perfect example being world class for the mousers and total shite for England.

few points for you Eric.
Spain did win the European Championships. 1964. Thats as many major tournaments as England.
Italy have won FOUR world cups (and a Euro in 1968). Thats three more than France.
Lest we forget the Germans who have three World Cups and three European Championships. Im sure they would be happy to "shout their mouth off" over that.
Stevie G "total shite" for England. Put the Daily Star down and actually concentrate on football instead of listening to the regurgitated shite trotted out by the tabloid press. Gerrard has struggled in the last campaign, as much due to inept coaching, a broken toe and sheer bad luck as his own bad form. Still managed some pretty good performances in amongst the media hyberbole. I didnt see much of the much lauded Mr Rooney for England during this period, yet I am not tempted to label his performances "total shite", its a collective thing.
French players can cope with the pressure i see. Well....i thought that a player headbutting an opponent who gave him a bit of verbal in a World Cup Final, getting yourself sent off and effectively ending your country's chances of winning the game prior to penalties would be considered "failing to deal with the pressure"- especially as they also lost the shootout. How about squandering a two goal lead to lose on penalties in a World Cup semi in 1982 because they couldnt cope after Schumacher's assault on Battiston? Or surrendering their World Cup crown without scoring a goal, and losing to World Cup debutants in 2002?? Is that how to handle pressure?
