I'd be surprised if he wasn't. He'd be a good link between the Italian staff and the English staff and players.

Although Hargreaves is a great player, with a never say die attitude, as well as a load of proffessionalism, I don't see him as a leader - but maybe that's just because he hasn't had the opportunity yet? The only player there I can see as a real leader, here and now, is Neville, but he isn't going to make the next World Cup. Get the point on a Hargreaves giving 100%, though I still don't see it happening.
So if we have a look at possible captains, there's Terry and Gerrard, there's Neville, there's possibly Hargreaves and Rooney. Somehow I think Capello will keep captaincy as it is.

A fully fit Hargreaves would get in to the England first XI, I'm pretty sure. I cannot picture Capello playing Lampard and Gerrard together in midfield. Under Capello, I think Hargreaves' role in England's team will be integral.
