CAPELLO: THIS WILL BE MY LAST JOB
Fabio Capello has said the England job will be his last in football.
The Italian was finally confirmed as the new England manager on Friday evening, after his lawyers concluded contract negotiations with the FA.
He has agreed a four-and-a-half year contract, thought to be worth around £25million, although much of that may depend on performance related bonuses.
Speaking on RAI, the Italian state broadcaster for whom Capello works as a pundit, he said:
"This is the final appointment of my career. It would be very nice to finish in the best way."
The 61 year-old said he was aware that he would have to adapt his managerial style to suit the different challenges of being an international boss:
"This is another challenge which is part of (a manager's) job but this challenge will be slower and more complicated because I must study more than if I was a league manager."
Capello was also asked whether England would be able to compete with the likes of world champions Italy:
"Yes we will be competitors because we will try to do our best," he said.

Anyone else surprised Capello has chosen England as his last management post?
Is he attempting to go out with a bang by taking one of the hardest (and most pressured/scrutinised) job in football or is this just one last big pay day?
