Russell, after reading your posts, I think your being much too pessimistic also, as Kyan said. The fact of the matter is simple, if players don't buy into Capello's football, they won't play. Simple as that. If that means he goes with a young team, that is willing to do what they have to do to play, they will.

Yes Juventus and Real Madrid were not crazy offensively, but they didn't play football like Liverpool has in the CL, the past few seasons.

This is a good appointment, you have picked up a system, a complete coaching staff, and I think England is much better for it.

Italian football is about being responsible, putting the team first, and buying into a system, and I think English football needs this.
