Ron out of Club World Cup Wednesday 12 December, 2007

Ronaldo will not play any part in Milan’s Club World Cup adventure after he wasn’t included in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad list.

El Fenomeno has been suffering with a calf injury that he sustained during the warm-up for the Rossoneri’s Champions League clash against Benfica.

While the former Inter marksman raised hopes when he returned to training yesterday, it is now confirmed that he won’t be fit enough to feature.

“Ronaldo feels that he won’t be ready for Sunday,” Diavolo Vice-President Adriano Galliani told the Milan Channel.

“I met with him and Ancelotti in his room and we came to this decision together that he won’t be on the list of players we can use at the competition.

“Giuseppe Favalli will take his place and Ronnie will be amongst those who cannot be brought on as replacements.”

Milan face Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds tomorrow morning and will look to book a place in Sunday’s Final against either Boca Juniors or Tunisian outfit Etoile du Sahel.
