I've been playing the EA Sports FIFA series since 1998. And have never touched Pro Evo.

This FIFA in many ways has been dissapointing. I should note that I'm playing it on PS2, so maybe they just didn't work as hard on it because it is becoming outdated.

NEGATIVES:

- The cover looks almost the same as last year. All they have done is switched Ronaldinho and Rooney's positions.

- The third match I played the game froze.

- When you kick the ball over the goal the commentary (frequently) says it was saved by the goal keeper.

- Switching the L1 trigger with X for changing players and calling in a second defender is extremely difficult to get used to and has caused so many defensive errors.

- The Right Analogue change player function is great, but not when you accidently select the goal keeper and can't switch back unless you press R3 (pushing in the right analogue). This can be quite painful in defence.

- They have switched the shooting functions of L1 and L2. L1 used to be lob and L2 used to be finesse shot. Now its the other way around and many times running into goal I've lobbed over out of habbit for pressing L2.

POSITIVES:

- The inclusion of the Australia Hyundai A-League is fantastic! I know many of you wouldn't bother play this league, but you should play a couple of friendlies against these teams. They have any former Premier League players and of course Juninho.

- They finally included the Netherlands!!! (I haven't yet checked if Japan is in this version)

- Custom formations is absolutely awesome. On the downside, there are less generic formations, including my favourite 4-3-2-1. This is extremely anoying and completely unnecessary.

- Much better AI. They don't give the ball away stupidly. They are much stronger. The goal keepers are bloody invincible!

- The soundtrack is pretty decent. Songs like Young Folks, Pogo, and Sly make it pretty classy.

Be A Pro is completely shite 1 player. I found it boring waiting for the ball for ages just to lose it fairly quickly (as you can't run the ground ). It's ok in Amatuer mode if you like freestlying. I would recommend Be A Pro only for multiplayer.

My eyes are squre becuase I've been playing a lot the past 2 days.
