Parma boss Domenico Di Carlo was satisfied with the Ducali’s performance on Wednesday night, despite exiting the Coppa Italia against Juventus.

The Gialloblu fell victim to an explosive Juve side who followed up a 5-1 demolition of Livorno by easing to a 3-1 win over the Emilia-Romagna team.

However, the ex-Mantova tactician was able to take positives from a spirited performance at the Stadio Tardini.

“Until Cristian Molinaro’s goal it was an even game,” he lamented. “We showed determination and at times managed the game well.

“We kept coming at them, even after the second goal which would have taken the wind out of most team’s sails. Maybe we lack a killer touch, but we are solid and can manage a game.”

Finally, Di Carlo was asked to comment on the touchline brawl with Catania counterpart Silvio Baldini on the opening day which stole the headlines in Week 1.

“Are we still talking about that?” he groaned. “I said the last time I was asked that I’m ready to shake his hand and bury the hatchet.”
