Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson admits he needs to add to his midfield pool.
Stephen Ireland's absence from Sunday's derby win left Eriksson short of midfield options and that is the area the Swede is keen to strengthen ahead of the transfer window closing on August 31.
"Stephen was up all night, so it was impossible for him to play," confirmed Eriksson.
"I still believe we need one or two midfielders."
