Tacchinardi joins Brescia Friday 10 August, 2007
Ex-Juventus star Alessio Tacchinardi has returned to Italy for a surprise move to Serie B side Brescia.
The midfielder had spent the last 18 months on loan at Villarreal, but terminated his contract with Juve by mutual agreement this summer.
Brescia have now confirmed he has signed a two-year contract for them with an option for a third.
Tacchinardi will be presented to the Press on Saturday afternoon and begin training with the squad the same day.
Now 32, he was once the bright new hope of Italian football and was snapped up by Juventus in 1994 from Atalanta.
Tacchinardi spent the next 11 seasons in Turin, but lost his place in the side under Fabio Capello.
He returns to Italy for a stab at Serie B football with Coach Serse Cosmi at the Stadio Rigamonti.

Why Serie B????? I can't believe that no other team in Serie A didn't make a move for him?
