Man City in talks with Shakhtar Donetsk for Elano

The Mirror says City boss Sven Goran Eriksson is trying to land the 26-year-old, who has become one of Carlos Dunga's key men in the national side over the past couple of years - and now wants to come to England.
Ukrainian side Donetsk are super-rich and do not want to lose Elano, but negotiations are at an advanced stage and a deal should go through soon as Eriksson pieces together an attractive, cosmopolitan new team.
Owner Thaksin Shinawatra's advisers have let slip that City are signing a Brazilian - and Elano, signed by Shakhtar from Santos two years ago, is the mystery man.
